Welcome to the Baraka online home
Baraka runs a couple of coffee houses in the Garforth area, committed to the local community, ethical trading and quality foods & products because its what we all want.
The focus is community, the means is connecting, the beverages are high quality, the result is relaxed for everyone.
We started out in Garforth on the outskirts of Leeds, UK in July 2008 and all our coffees and food is sourced either supporting local traders or fairly-traded goods from further afield*
*there are no coffee growers in Leeds yet, but our roasters are in LS25!
Baraka is a Social Enterprise which means we run just like any other company but our social aims are our first priority rather than making lots of money. Although making money is good because it all gets sown back into the local community.
You can find us:
Our high street coffee house is in the centre of Main Street in Garforth. Opposite the Original Factory Shop, and on the parade of shops between Co-op supermarket and William Hill.
Our Bookshop is towards the bottom of the high street. Just a bit further down and on the same side as the Bella Vita Italian restaurant. Just before you get to the library. (15 Main Street, LS25 1DS)
Our Express coffee bar in the Garforth LIbrary is right down the bottom of Garforth Main Street on the left. It is the newly built building with the glass frontage. You can find Baraka right in the glass domw on the first level. A wonderful place to sit and look up Main Street.
